Post Fete Party
To round off the Fete, we held an evening party with disco in the Village Hall.
There was be a licensed bar with Amier supplying his famous
‘Post Office Stores Curry’, plus vegetarian option.
We danced the summer night away from 8pm.
Tickets were £10 and went go on sale at the beginning of June
at the shop or from committee members.
Volunteers
Despite having many talents, the committee cannot do everything
in the run up to the fete or on the day itself.
We need lots of volunteers, if only for an hour or so, for example,
to sell programmes, marshall the car park or register runners, etc.
If you can spare us some time, please speak to any of the committee members to register
your support (otherwise we may need to deploy the press gangs!):
Tony Summerfield, Rev Jane Hemmings, Lorna Straker, Barry Grinham, Liz Pinker,
Barbara Jefferies, Celia Hawkesworth, Christine Marsh.
Entry to the fete was by programme on sale on the day, £1 for adults, children free.
Profits from the Fete this year went towards Village societies,
Thank you for your generous support.
